How Meat Raffles Work

Meat raffles are conducted in rounds. Before each round begins, ticket sellers circulate through the venue. Ticket prices are set by the host organization and commonly range from $2 to $3.
Bring small bills when possible so ticket purchases can move quickly. Admission, ticket prices, payment options, and house rules vary by event.
A ticket typically contains three numbers. When the wheel stops on one of those numbers, the ticket holder wins the prize assigned to that spin. More than one ticket may contain the winning number, so a spin can produce multiple winners.
At the start of each round, the emcee announces the number of wheel spins and any special instructions. A round may include one or several spins, allowing the same ticket to remain active until that round ends.
